PureFacto | Water Purification on Po River | Riccardo Feder

The project wants to deal with the urgent problem of water contamination due to fertilizers  in agriculture and the loss of bio diversity along the Po river area.

Through a system of pools, water is purified gradually with plants and seeds and used for agriculture, fauna repopulation and domestic uses. The houses, inspired by the characteristic shape of the Nassa net, are landmarks in the territory and act as incubator of fish and animals, shaped by the solar  radiation of the house.

The construction techniques deal with the innovative system of the Gridshell used as a self supporting structure. The Nassa building hosts a public space for observation of the pools at the ground floor, a repopulation tank and a residence for two people at the first floor.
